Cavelux is an independent research lab. We study how frontier AI systems behave in production and build the methods that keep them reliable, inspectable, and accountable.

Systems trained by different vendors catch different mistakes. We build our work so they check each other.

We use many vendors' systems and are affiliated with none of them. Naming a model states provenance, nothing more.

The rules we publish are the rules we run under, versioned and open to report.
How the work is organized
- Principal
- One accountable human who approves every irreversible act and every version of our commitments.
- Conductor
- Assigns work in writing, keeps the shared record, and grades what comes back.
- Implementing seats
- AI systems that do assigned work inside written limits and report on completion.
- Reviewing seats
- AI systems from a different vendor than the author's, which check the work before it is accepted.

Values
In order: honesty about what is known and how, safety in preferring what can be undone, fidelity to the written instruction, and helpfulness within those limits. When two conflict, the earlier one wins. See the Seat Charter.
Governance
Cavelux is a limited liability company. Authority over every irreversible act rests with the principal and is exercised through the gates in the Gate Doctrine: written instruction, explicit approval, and a matching entry in the record.
